SUNDANCE CHANNEL TO PREMIERE THE ABSURD "COMBOVER: THE MOVIE"
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – DENVER, CO – Combover: the Movie will make its U.S. broadcast premiere in primetime on The Sundance Channel, April 16th at 9 PM Eastern and Pacific Time. The irreverent one-hour documentary produced by No Barking Productions and directed and written by Chris Marino with his partner Tim Fenoglio is as The London Daily Mail wrote “one of the funniest and most heartfelt pieces of reportage to grace the small screen in recent memory”.
Covering new ground in pop culture, Combover has already attracted international media attention and has been licensed around the world by a variety of networks including Fox Europe, HBO Latin America, and Zone Media and Five TV in the UK. Before the documentary’s completion, Denver director, Chris Marino, had already appeared on NBC’s “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno, MSNBC’s “Countdown with Keith Olbermann,” as well as on NPR and Capital Gold Networks London.
Shot over 16 months in locations throughout the United States, Combover: the Movie chronicles Marino’s humorous cross-country search for the ultimate combover. Along the journey he interviews various experts including physicians, hair practitioners, and even someone who obtained a U.S. patent for the combover. Marino states “We are thrilled that Combover has been so well received around the globe and excited that its broadcast premiere in the States will be on The Sundance Channel.”
